2014 Hyundai Veloster

Purchased brand new in fall of 2013. A 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo 6sp Manual with Factory "Style" and "Technology" packages. It's a 1.6L Turbo GDI as most people know Hyundai for their 4cyl turbo and non turbo packages this one was very hit and miss for the KDM brand. I can say that I have not had anything terrible happen other than loosing a stock turbo at about 47K miles.

Premium options like the full glass sunroof, navigation, heated seats, rear vision camera, and bluetooth handsfree calling were all options that had my attention when looking for a modern hot hatch back then. The Veloster presents unique 3 door design pared with a genuinely fun to drive car that had me sold with the first test drive. Over the years, I have attended events and shows spread across the whole midwest region totaling eight different states surrounding IL my home. Of course, I always drive round trip because this car is not a trailer queen.

The OEM paint is called Elite White Pearl and the Blue accents are done with Prismatic Powders Illusion Blueberry powdercoat. My ideas were pooled from ques of the lowrider scene, classic cars, hot rods, rat rods, and many other custom built award winning show cars I have seen over the years. Attention to detail is always important. I always keep the words "form and function" at the top of my mind when making and designing parts as well.

This car has changed my life in many ways over the years. To most people its just a Hyundai or its just a car but for me my cars give me reasons to stay focused, work hard, and set goals. I invested my own countless hours to work on and plan each project before creating. I have future plans to do a full motor as well as upgrade the stock turbo. Currently the car is at full bolt status with a modest staged tune from Blood Type Racing Inc. I have been running this tune for years safely. Although its only a 1.6L she does make somewhere around 250hp and is really a joy to drive. My future goal is to build to a mid 300hp number. Recently rolled over 47,000 miles. She's garage kept and doesn't see snow ever. I have Autocrossed with it over the years, as well as some other short track days for fun here and there. The Veloster is sporty and nimble but comfortable to drive. It will absolutely put a smile on your face.
